My first Driving Machine (no, it's not a BMW)

Since moving to New Jersey, I've officially become handicapped. After two years of crawling, I've decided to get myself some wheels.

My first thought was roller blades. But that didn't work for a. they dont work on snow, b. i dont know how to rollerblade.

My second thought was a Vespa (偉士牌機車). That idea didn't fly either for a. it gets stolen easily, b. there is a term called "donorcyle...meaning, a motorcycle turns its rider to an organ donor...

My third thought was a Honda Fit. Damon finally spoke up, "that does not work...it's a piece of junk!" According to him, the only brand I can get is Volvo (i guess their ad really works-- Volvo = Safety)

D is less concern about my safety but the safety of everyone else when I am on the road. He said I have a lead foot "meaning my foot is heavy on the gas paddle"... Not sure I have a lead foot but I think I was born to be a race car driver. :)

My Water Taxi

We live in a town called Edgewater... by definition, its a place by the edge of the water.

Life by the water sometimes gives an illusion of a vacation in Hawaii...except, there's no coconut found at my backyard.

Going to work is no longer an endless wait at the bus stop but riding waves and getting splashed.

New York Waterway, a ferry system has brought the "bridge & tunnel" people to be a bit closer to the "cool' New Yorker.

My morning ride is at either 8:20 or 8:50 depending on my "breakfast" options. The speed boat fits about 100 people each time.

Like any tour boat, we have a captain and an attendant. The differences are all passengers get on without beach bags and flipflops and the destination has no hula girls.
